Welcome to Excelsior Place!  Situated in one of the most beautiful areas in the Brainerd Lakes region, Excelsior Place offers a serene environment for our resident to live. 

Comforts of Home

We offer five different styles of private one and two bedroom apartments.  Each apartment features a kitchen, living room, bedroom, private bathroom with shower, ample closet space, telephone hook-ups and an emergency response system.  All utilities and basic cable are included.  Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture to reflect their own personal touch.

Vision and Philosophy of Care

Excelsior Place believes in three key principles to be successful in offering the best possible service to the resident that call our community home.  Offer choice, maintain dignity, and promote individuality.  Excelsior Place puts the focus on the resident that live in our community.  When resident come to live with us, they can expect a wonderful atmosphere where they are valued as an individual.   The core of our senior care philosophy is this: provide care that is individualized for each resident that lives in one of our communities.  The goal of this philosophy is to help seniors remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.  By providing only the services and assistance the individual senior needs, the senior continues to be able to do things for themselves.  In addition, providing seniors with only the care they require is less expensive.

We believe that seniors have the right to a high quality of life.  Our mission is to provide assisted living services to persons who find it difficult or impossible to continue to live on their own, yet who may not require all the services of a nursing home.  This kind of vision places the needs of our residents first, and the requirement to provide a health work environment for our staff.

Trained Staff

Our employees are trained to support the three key principles of assisted living.  In each senior living community, we offer resident choices in the services they receive in incorporating them and their family members in the process.  Maintaining someone's dignity is simple; show respect, protect their privacy, and encourage independence.  While resident's have similar needs, each resident has his or her own likes and dislikes, routines, and lifestyles.  Even when seniors live with others in a senior living community, they are still individuals and need to be respected as such.  Welcome Home Health Care, the state licensed assisted living provider at Excelsior Place was established in 2000 as a senior management company.  Today, Welcome Home Health Care, Inc manages twelve communities in three states including assisted living, independent living and dementia care communities.  Providing everything for state licensure to staff training to policies and procedures to marketing facilities and programs, Welcome Home Health Care, Inc provides the full spectrum of service for each location it serves.

Welcome Home Health Care, Inc. is licensed by the state of Minnesota as an assisted living home care provider in all of its Minnesota locations with well-trained staff, professional staff to care for our residents.  Each staff member must attend an extensive training program with our Registered Nurse prior to working with our residents and their family members.

Assisted Living Program

 one of the best advantages of living at Excelsior Place is the service.  We take a forward look to how personal and health related services are offered to our resident's.  While many senior communities "bundle" their services with their monthly rates, we believe that residents should see what they are paying for.  By offering a la carte styles services, our residents are able to choose the services they need, when they need them.  both personal and health related services are offered to our resident to help them stay as independent as possible, for as long as possible.

Our a la carte service package enables residents to choose only those services they require when they need the services.  This allows the resident to keep their costs as low as possible.  it is another way we offer choices to our residents.  All of the services you would find in a typical assisted living community are offered to our residents.  See the Director of Resident Services for a list of health related and personal related services available at Excelsior Place.

Health related services are based on a personalized assessment done prior to move-in.  These services are assessed by our Registered Nurse with the resident and their family members.  Residents only pay for those services they specifically need.
