2010

January 27th, 2010 - Welcome Home Management Company of Hutchinson, Minnesota is proud to announce the 2009 North Star Leadership Award to Jacob Work, South Regional Director at Welcome Home Management.

The North Star Leadership Award is an award that recognizes a person in the organization that exhibits outstanding leadership qualities. The award winner is nominated by their peers and must include letters of recommendation.

The nominations are then reviewed by a subcommittee of the Welcome Home education group to determine the winner. Mr. Work was nominated by the team members he works with throughout his region. His communities include Willmar, Redwood Falls, New Ulm, Fairmont, North Mankato, Sheldon, Iowa and Spirit Lake, Iowa.

The North Star Leadership Award was presented by those who nominated him at Welcome Home Health Care’s Winter Conference in Hutchinson on January 27th.

January 27th, 2010 - Welcome Home Management Company is proud to recognize Excelsior Place as this years award winner of the prestigious Resident Choice Award at Welcome Home. This is the third time in the past seven years that Excelsior Place has won this award. Welcome Home Health Care is proud of all of the communities due to the high scores given by the residents that live at their community during their annual resident satisfaction survey. While the average score of each community was 90%, Excelsior Place took home the award with a combined category score of 95.57%. Congratulations to the staff at Excelsior Place for their award, and congratulations to the entire staff at Welcome Home Health Care on making your communities a great place to call home!

January 27th, 2010 - Welcome Home Management Company is proud to recognize the senior living communities who have achieved high level of excellence in senior living. Criteria for the award include employment best practices and employee satisfaction, resident and family satisfaction, resident and staff safety, financial performance, matching resident needs to care plans throughout a resident’s stay, and overall occupancy. Each of the performance objectives is to assure the proper and desired level of service is provided. Best Community Awards for the calendar year of 2009 went to Garnette Gardens of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; Goldfinch Estates of Fairmont, Minnesota; Windmill Ponds of Alexandria, Minnesota; and Twin Town Villa, of Breckenridge, Minnesota.

The awards were presented at our Annual Winter Conference in Hutchinson, Minnesota on January 27th, 2010.

Accepting the award on behalf of Twin Town Villa were Lisa Lehmann, Director of Resident Services and Kari Giersdorf, RN. This was the first time Twin Town Villa has won this award.
Accepting the award on behalf of Windmill Ponds were Sue Jutz, Director of Resident Services and Connie Olson, RN. This was the second time Windmill Ponds has won this award.
Accepting the award on behalf of Goldfinch Estates were Mary Larson, Director of Resident Services, Cal Diekmann, Memory Care Coordinator, Colleen Miller, RN and Tari Brandt, RN. This was the second time Goldfinch Estates has won the award.
Accepting the award on behalf of Garnette Gardens were Natalie Seehausen, Director of Resident Services and Jennifer Van Hee, RN. This was the third time Garnette Gardens has won this award.

We’d like to make a special mention to all of those team members out there who are the real hero’s in the community. Each day, you take special care of the resident’s who call our communities home. From all the guys on the maintenance team who keep the buildings running in top shape, to the Food Service department who create the wonderful food that we all get the honor of tasting; the Community Life Coordinators who really take our goal of “A Part of You” and make it a reality. We also thank the Care Providers who really do wonderful work. Taking the time to get to know each resident on an individual level and working with each resident based on their needs takes a special person.

Roman Bloemke, Director of Operations at Welcome Home Health Care, said of the award, “Because of all the hard work that our team members do the residents, families, your team members and all of us here at Welcome Home, thank you.”

September 16th, 2009 - Fieldcrest Assisted Living won the "2009 Dare to Dream Star Award" from Iowa Assisted Living Association, for their Dreams Can Come True program held this past July. Congratulations to the whole team!!!!

September 16th, 2009 - Welcome Home Management Company was awarded the 2009 Spirit of Advocacy award from Aging Services of Minnesota this morning at their annual conference. This award goes recognizes the efforts of all Welcome Home employees, our residents, their families and their friends, for their efforts in influencing public policy, protecting resident rights, including our residents right to choice in their housing options. Thank you to everyone who took the time to contact their representatives and senators. Without you, we wouldn't have been able to make a positive difference in the life of seniors. Accepting the award was Sarah Work, Roman Bloemke, and Dean Bloemke.

January 27th, 2009 - Welcome Home Health Care announced that Potter Ridge of Red Wing, Minnesota; Garnette Gardens of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; and Goldfinch Estates of Fairmont, Minnesota were awarded the companies highest honor of Best Community Award for the calendar year 2008. Potter Ridge and Garnette Gardens are two-time award winners. This is Goldfinch Estates first year winning the award. The Award was made at the company’s annual meeting at Breezy Point, Minnesota at the end of January.

2008

November 2008 - Welcome Home Health Care and Welcome Home Management Company are excited to announce a new project currently under development in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. This senior living community will feature assisted living, memory care and care suites. The project will begin welcoming new residents home in the Summer of 2009.

February 2008 - Welcome Home Health Care is proud to announce that the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance (MHHA, now known as Aging Services of Minnesota) has awarded North Point Senior Living Community with the "Excellence in Practice" award. This award was for the communities activity program called "Dreams Can Come True" where residents had their "dreams" come true. This program was featured in the local media (local radio, newspaper and television stations - KEYC-TV and KARE11-TV). Congratulations on their success!

January 28th, 2008 - Welcome Home Health Care announced that Windmill Ponds of Alexandria, Minnesota; Potter Ridge of Red Wing, Minnesota; Garnette Gardens of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; Keelson Harbour of Spirit Lake, Iowa were awarded the companies highest honor of Best Community Award for the calendar year 2007. Windmill Ponds recently transitioned to offering a full array of senior assisted living services. The Award was made at the company’s annual meeting at Breezy Point, Minnesota at the end of January.

2007

November 27th, 2007 - Welcome to our Home and Welcome Home Management announce plans for a new senior living community in Willmar, Minnesota. This assisted living community will feature several options for area seniors which will include assisted living, independent living and memory care services. 2006

July 1st, 2006 - Welcome to our Home and Welcome Home Management are excited to announce a new project in Spirit Lake, Iowa. This assisted living community will feature both assisted living apartments with an attached memory care community for those residents dealing with memory loss. The project named, Keelson Harbour Senior Living will begin welcoming new residents home in June 2007.

July 28th, 2006 - Welcome Home Management Company is proud to announce the opening of its expansion projects in Fairmont, Minnesota. Goldfinch Estates now offers a range of services available to area seniors including assisted living, independent living and memory care.
